I have a Ford 681, 1960 vintage. It came new from the dealer with 13.00 x 24 rear rubber (still there and in good shape) mounted on 10"x24" double bevel rims with fairly heavy cast center discs. I have not seen this rim on other 601 series tractors and wondering how unusual this is?

Tony, I am also wondering about my wheels and original equip. I have a 901 with 24" also. I know these aren't orig 'cuz they are painted yellow. What is the orig. size and options for my 901? I would like to change these since I need new tires anyway and the smaller size looks funny.

Hi Rick, I have never seen 24" rubber on a Row Crop tractor but that does not mean Ford did not offer that size on them . The most common size I have seen is 13.6-28" on standard type rims or Power Adjustable type rims . Your yellow rims probably came off an Industrial Ford tractor. Thanks Tony Jacobs

Possible that you have aftermarket or home made wheels. My Jubilee was used as a grove tractor working in sugar sand and had 16" X 26" rims with 16 something X 26" diameter tires. The centers appear to be stock Ford. The wheels are very nicely done, a real craftsman at work. Pounds Motor Company in Winter Garden, Florida used to modify rims for grove use and I figure they probably did mine I have seen the size you mention and have never looked at them closely enough to tell if they are factory or 'homemade'. There was at least one Ford at the nationals in Indy' last year that had 24" wheels. ray

Hi Ray , Bill's wheels are factory wheels , Ford offered both double bevel 24" rims on all tractors and six loop rims on the Industrial series tractors only . 95% of my tractors are equiped with 24" rubber . Thanks Tony Jacobs
