I just bought the tractor and the 3pt would only pick up a bushog about six or seven inches. local ford dealer told me to rebuild the lift cylinder. did that and the 3pt lifts all the way up then lowers slowly and does not try to corect itself. it will go back up if I lower the lift lever all the way down then lift again. the ford dealer now tells me to replace a dow rod in the cylinder assembly. any one had this problem or have any advice?

As Jim said contact Zane for advise on this.

You could buy the pin and linkage from Ford but then you need to adjust it. The shop manual shows you how but you need their gauge to do it right.

Zane has every thing as a kit spelled out in shade tree terms. If you buy the pin from him he gives you the proper gauge and instructions on adjusting it.

I think you need to consult with Zane. He knows these old hydraulic systems inside and out. Here's a link to his site. You might want to consider his Hundred series adjustment instruction sheet. I think he includes a dowel pin, aka cam follower pin with it.
