In the photo ads, I see a 850 with vertical exhaust and vertical muffler. My question is does this tractor have two mufflers or one? If it does have two mufflers, is this ok to do or does this create too much back pressure? I have seen this before but never got to see the left side of the tractor. Mine is very loud.

To reduce heat & boiling gas a lot of us have moved the muffler out from under the tank & put it vertical.

I'm no expert, but with a straight-through muffler, I wouldn't think 2 would hurt anything. If you don't have low clearence, extending the height of the pipe helps a lot

Art, I do not know about the tractor you are speaking of but usually a hundred series Ford has either one horizantal muffler and lower exhaust or a vertical exhaust with either a vertical muffler or a horizontal muffler. I guess it would not be all that difficult to install two muflers, don't think it would hurt anything. I have not seen one with both. ray
