The hyds. on my jubilee have been slow to warm up but worked ok after it started. I noticed that the fluid was milky looking so I drained and refiled and now it does not work at all! What do I do now?

thanks Bob

Joe has it right. If it is the older vane type (square-ish looking pump) it is probably the oil seal leaking and causing it to loose prime - which is very common. Most people blow compressed air into the dip stick hole to force the oil into the pump to prime it again. If it is the newer piston type pump (round-ish looking pump) you can remove the top threaded plug with the tractor not running, pour some hydraulic oil in until it fills up, then hit the starter (make sure twice it is in neutral) with the key OFF and see if any air burps out. It is messy, so put a pan underneath the pump. Then screw the plug in finger tight, start the tractor, then SLOWLY unscrew the plug until oil statrs squeezing up from between the threads (don't unscrew it all the way!) and let it run until there is only oil coming out - no air bubbles. Tighten the plug back up and you should be good to go.

Good luck,
Dan

I bled the air out of the plug until there was no air and it still does not work. The pump did have a leak on the side around the gasket. Do I need to rebuild the pump? Is it a difficult job? Is the repair kit sold on the Y.T. web site what I need? thanks Bob

Did you try bleeding the pump? Lossen the plug on the pump if it has a piston type. I'm not sure on the vane type.
