Hi Matt, I didn't know quite how to respond to your question, as I don't really know what's wrong with the tractor. Upon reading Marks post, it got me to thinking. The tips he gave are great for a tractor with an indepandant PTO with a wet clutch. Your 3600 would not have an indepandant PTO. At most it would have a live PTO with a 2 stage clutch. I wonder if at some point in time it actually had it's hood swapped with a 3600, and the tractor may actually be a 4000 SU, or a 4100, which look very similar to a 3600 (they share the same steering setup, but have the heavier rear end). In that case, then I would check out everything Mark suggested. If it is a 3600 for sure, then a slipping clutch is a possibility (mabey a leaking transmission seal). I would also consider the possibility of a spline being stripped on the pressure plate, or the PTO input shaft. It may also be possible that there is a problem with the coupler at the PTO engagement lever, and the coupler is getting some traction, but not fully engaging. I don't know what else to suggest. This may take some time hunting the problem out. Best of luck. Rod
