I just got a 641, have always run 2Ns. The thing stinks enough to gag a maggot. At first I thought it was leaking oil onto something hot, but it's coming from the breather pipe that comes out of the tappet cover. Is this normal? It doesn't use oil. Can I run a pipe/hose to vent it out alongside the muffler? TIA

You could have blowby one or more oil rings on the piston(s), are worn out or broken. And may not be using enough that you can tell that its using any. Engine could have been run hot to cause this or could have been setting up for awhile and the oil breather may be haft stopped up.
