Is there any way to repair a steering assist cylinder that is leaking around the end around the shaft? Cylinder is on a 1989 FORD model 3910.

There should be a seal kit available for it. Have you checked at the New Holland dealer. They can install the seal in a very short time. I would think in about 30 minutes. I have the seals installed and pay for it, that way they are guaranteed not to leak. If you do it yourself and they leak then you are out the price of the seal kit which can be in the neighborhood of $50.
