I had my Ford Golden Jubilee converted from 6V to 12V. It ran fine for quite a while.
It still runs like a top, for a while. Then it seems to reach a certain temperature and it sputters and dies. I'll leave it shut off for a couple minutes, start it and it runs great, for another couple minutes, then the pattern repeats. I am baffled! It has a new carburator, new points, plugs, condensor, rotor, points, coil (with an internal resistor), everything is new. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Last night I completely blew out the entire fuel system, tank, lines, carburator, air intake assembly. I then re-assembled everything and proceded to disc my wife's garden. It ran like a dream! This sight is awesome and I greatly appreciate everyone being so generous with your knowledge. Happiness is a smooth running tractor! Thanks again!

If you say it runs for good until hot, maybe the fuel is boiling and locking in the line. Maybe the line is too close to the exhaust manifold. My NAA has a baffle plate which seems to have no other purpose than to deflect heat from the manifold away from the fuel line. Good luck. Steve NAA III443

If it turns out not to be a fuel problem, it may be a defective coil. I had the same symptoms with a 8N and it turned out to be the coil.

Thanks for the help! The fuel problem does make sense. I am going to investigate further this evening.
I swapped out the coil with a new one ($48!!) and still had the problem.
This forum is outstanding, lots of useful information. Thank you all so much!

Gosh.. you are sure being skinned alive on them coils.. 15$ buys you a NAPA IC-14SB TRUE 12v coil.. NO resitors needed.. NO internal resistor.. primary is simply correct ohms for 12v applications.

I'd guess fuel delivery.. open the carb bowl drain.. see if you can get a steady flow.. make sure gas tank isn't pulling a vacume..

Sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem. To check - remove the big bolt on the bottom of the carb and let the gas drain into a clean jar. It should continue to stream good for several seconds. If it streams for a few seconds, then starts to dribble, you more than likely have a clogged filter slowing your fuel flow - that is why it runs for awhile and then shuts off, the fuel in the carb bowl eventually runs out. Then, it dribbles the bowl level back up after it is shut down.

You have three screens - one is on top of the shut-off valve and sits inside your gas tank, one is on top of your fuel sediment bowl, and the last one is inside of your carb attached to the brass elbow your fuel line screws to. Or - it could also be a gummed up valve or fuel line.
