I am debating on buying a Howse or International cutter. Is one better than the other. What about parts or service if needed.

Don"t know about the Howse but have abused an International for about 12 years. Replacement blades were tough to find; shape was a little peculiar. Before you ever use it, you"d best drill and tap for a grease zerk for the wheel axle. You"ll eat up the axle in a heartbeat running it dry. BUT the housing is tough and has held up well and the gear box is built like a ballpeen hammer.

I second the good review for the Howse brand. I have a 5" Howse rotary cutter and have cleared some pretty heavy brush and growth with it with no problems.

howse is a light to meduim duty cutter.. but parts are easily availible and internet catalouge support is availible...

that being said.. you could buy a bushhog or rino for a lot more...

Can't speak to the International, but my 6' howse has held up well for 18 years. Haven't needed any parts, but their website lists a parts department. Good luck. Steve
