I had a chain limiter on my 8N and am missing it on my 3000. I like being able to set the shredder to a certain height and just "forgetaboutit". I was wondering if it might be even better if I could connect to the 3PT arms instead of the implement. That way I would could use without any hassle on any implement.

Has anyone ever done this?? If so, where/how do you connect the chains??

Yes, we did this on our 9N, worked well. Had two holes drilled in the lift arms, about 1/2 way down the arm, past the leveler/lift arms, and put in two stabilizer arm pins that we got from TSC. The chains connected to those. Worked better than the connections to the lift arm pins, as the chains are more vertical. Only problem was the drilling - our friend who did it said that the 9N arms were case hardened and he went thru a bit or two getting the holes drilled.

Hope this helps.
