Stinger pump rotation

Tractor is an Ford 800 with a True Blue Implements FEL. The stinger pump went bad by blowing the front shaft seal. It was non repairable as the pump company was long out of buisness. The hydraulic "expert" tore it down, measured and replaced it with a Cessna 26011 RZW. Installed it and nothing happens. Now that I have a pump that has documentation I see that the R stands for right hand or CW rotation.

Q1. I believe that since the tractor is a CW rotation (correct?) and the pump mounts to the crankshaft the facing the opposite direction that the pump needs to be a CCW (left hand) rotation. Is that correct?

Q2. If I crack one of the high pressure lines and nothing comes out would that be a good indicator that the pump is running backwards?

AM,
I'm no expert, but do have a loader for my 8N. Question 1 is, Yes. Question 2 is, Quite probable.
Check your fan. I think you'll see that the crank turns CCW from the back looking forward.
Yer "expert" fits the category: Ex - something that used to be; Spurt - a drip under pressure. (grin)
