I have only seen pictures of Fords equiped with an Elenco 4wd kit and have been wondering where does it get it's power from? I have seen in the pictures that the differential is offset to the left as seen from the drivers seat and that a driveshaft runs under a guard near the clutch pedal. Is the Elenco kit full time 4wd or can it be disengaged? From reading past posts, I'm hoping that Tony Jacobs see this.

The Elenco gets the power from a sprocket on the tractor drive coupler, There is a chain to the transfer case on the left of the tractor. The drive shaft runs beside the clutch pedal. The one I have is the newer Elenco they are able to be disengaged. not the older ones

Thanks for the info. I have always wondered since first seeing a picture of one. One more question, what and where is the tractor drive coupler? Inside the transmission or rear axle?

The chain comes out the hole where the PTO lever/cover is located.
