My ignition switch is out and I bought a replacement at Tractor Supply. My old one is a lucas, 3 blade. Two of the blades have two wires on them and the other has one. The new replacement switch has 4 posts. 1 labeled for starter, 1 for ignition, 1 for battery and 1 post for acces. The old wires aren't labeled and the old switch is only labeled 1, 2 and 3. Any help as to determining what the wire are and where they would be placed on the new ignition switch?

Use an ohm meter or test lamp if your old switch is still a bit good. Determine the placement ont he incoming 'power' wire. The rest of the contacts should be sequntially located in order, as you turn the switch. With that.. I would assume 'starter' momentary on is the last position. Second position will have to be ignition power, and possibly dash cluster ( not familiar with 3000 ).. Ignition will need to stay powered while the momentary starter is engaged as well. Shouldn't be too hard to trace / re-wire.
