Ford/NH 3415 questions

I have the opportunity to purchase a very late model (5 years old) 3415 Ford/NH tractor with a 6' rotary cutter (130 hours). I have 9 acres (pretty flat) to mow, and would like to eventually add a blade and small front end loader to do light landscaping work. I realize this is a 2wd tractor. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on this model available. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I can get it for the 8k range. I'm a newbee and could use some advise. THANKS!

My book shows about $8K as the asking price for a nice 3415. I'm sure you've thought about the fact that a loader puts the weight on the front wheels; fine with a 4WD but a real disadvantage with a lightweight 2WD tractor.

Allen,
I think that would be a great size tractor for 9 acres. But I think the HP is more around 38 at the PTO.

Anyway, I have seen quite a few on NH dealers used lot. There are a few tractor blue books out there that could give you a general idea on price.

Rick

Allen, I wouldn't hesitate on that deal. Thats about a 50 horse tractor , more than enough for what you want to do. I was bidding on one with twice that many hours and it went for 10,500. goodluck Dave
