6610 injector pump

Does my injector pump DSP type need oil added
or does it get its oil from the motor. Any help
would be great, just bought a service manual but
it does not mention my pump than you Brad

Rotor pump is lubricated by fuel. I think but I am not 100% sure, but the inline pump on the 1st series of 6610s had oil in it. Someone might correct me on this though.

Thanks for your help guy"s. I see fuel lines running in and out of the pump at each end, I think you are right on the lube by fuel.

Your pump is lubricated by the diesel fuel flowing throught it.

The early 1980's 6610 with the 268 non turbo diesel engine has an injector pump that according to my book requires engine oil, although a small amount to be added for proper working ability. It does not hodl much but there is an plug at the top where you pour it in and when it gets low on the oil, it will usually surge when idling, up and down. My book is where I found this information.
