If your coil has a + and - sign.. then wire the + side to whatever is positive. That is.. to ground on a post grnd.. or to the key, if you have neg grnd.

Now.. if your coil says bat/distrib, then assume the distrib means +.. and wire according to my instructions above.

Here's a wiring diagram for the NAA and early 600/800. It doesn't identify the coil polarity and my memory from replacing my coil last summer is the opposite of old's. I seem to remember that on a positive ground 6 volt system, the positive side of the coil goes to the distributor. I even memorized something to help me remember next time:
PPP. It means:
Positive ground? Then
Plus to Points

Well you run a wire from the ignition switch to the + side of the coil and from the - side of the coil to the dist. Any thing else you need to know ?? If so don't leave out info becuase we can't read your mind and or see the wiring you have. Hope that helps you some.

THANKS THAT PART OF THE WIRING I HAVE SET. WANTED TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE I HAD THE WIRING RIGHT. I HAVE POWER GOING IN AND OUT OF COIL AND POWER TO DISTRIBUTOR. THERE'S NO SPARK COMING OUT OF THE COIL. IT IS A NEW COIL.

On the stud where the wiring goes there is a small insulator that commonly shorts out causing a no spark condition. Easiest way to check is disconnect the supply wire from the coil to the distributor and check with an ohm meter. The points must be open and it should not show a short if it does the insulator is bad.

You probably have trouble with the points then. Pull the cap and dust cover and open the points by hand. If you get a spark at the points then you probably have a bad cap. If you don't get spark at the points the they are bad or shorted some place.
