Just bought my first Ford tractor the other day, a really nice 950 with adjustable wide front and pretty much all the options. I understand that the widefront could potentially be worth $500 to $800. This is not my question, but it would be nice if someone could confirm this. Now my question is..... How much is the 130 lb front weight box with all six 48 lb weights worth? A local Ford "expert" estimated approximately $250 for the box and about $95 for each weight for a grand total of roughly $825. Does this seem accurate? Also please understand that I have no intentions of selling either the wide front or the weights, but merely would like to determine an accurate value of my tractor. Thank you.

The wide fronts don't seem to sell well on Ebay. Probably because they are so hard to ship. Weight boxes around here will bring $650 empty, so 825 full seems possible.

Adam, I think your friend is a little low on the box and a somewhat high on the weight price. Also, the owners manual did not recommend the weight box for the wide front. I have a 63 4000 High Clearance with wide front and I don't think the weight box will bolt up with the wide front on....Kelly.

Sounds pretty steep to me, I'd ask around $300.

I have sold 2 of the boxes without the weights easily for $300.00 and saw one on ebay a while back for over $500.00.
