Hi all!

I would like to make my loader bucket into a quick attach connection. The only problem is that I don't know how to go about doing it! Don't have a lot of $$, but do have a welder and metal, just need to get an idea of what it should look like, operate like.

Suggestions and advice are gratefully accepted!

Oh, here is a pic of the tractor with the bucket on. It took a LOT of monkeying around by my self to line up the pins with the arms. Even with my big bars, moving that bucket around is a real pain. Not to mention that I welded on new bucket bushings and put in new bushings and pins in the loader. Nice and tight, which is good for using the bucket, but a pain for taking it on and off!

Thanks!

I don't have any photos (I should make some). I made my templates out of plywood to make sure the curl angle was correct. I believe the metal was 5/16. You can make the holes any distance..I would match those on your bucket. After getting the metal cut - I mounted the four units on the tractor, used pipe clamps to hold the separator pieces in place and weld on the tractor.I then took a piece of square tubing and tied both sides together.

I would love to see a picture or two of this setup on your tractor. I also have a 3000 with a loader and this is cool....

JB - I have a Ford 3000 and I built a quick attach for my bucket - it works like a charm, I can attach the bucket without getting off the tractor and then just jump off and put in a 1" pin. I went to the local fabrcator and had the plates cut and drilled and just welded them together at home. I think the total cost was around $100 for the steel and drilling. I did make the quick attach pin hole 1/16" larger to make it easier to insert and remove the pin.

Neat. That is like what I was imagining, but much better.

How thick is the metal?

Is this for a bucket with 2 cylinders doing the dumping or just one? It looks like there isn't enough space between the top and bottom pin holes...

Do you have any pics of this set up on the tractor?

Thanks again!
