Ford yellow on my old 4000 I thought I had seen that color called buff. The local paint store didn't have clue what that was. What color of yellow paint do I ask for? The ford blue didn't seem to be a problem for the store, just the yellow. bjr

I seem to recall 'buff' being a primer color of yellow.

Try an industrial yellow.. etc.

Sam is right. Ford called the finish color on the sheet metal on these tractors Buff or Yellow Buff. It is not industrial yellow. Got one I'm working on restoring right now.

Hmm... Coulda fooled my paintchip book.. which shows about 5 different colors of industrial yellow ( thru the years ) that different road dept's use. I got a feeling it is one of those 'nameing' issues. Kinda like the same thing as valspar gloss regal red = vermillion red from a different brand. Or persion orange ( 1 & 2 ) and flambeau red.. etc...

Whatever you guys want to call it is fine with me.. I'm particular to the red/grey and blue grey color schemes myself.
