My radiator sprung a leak and I have been getting sticker shock for recore prices. was quoted from $250 to $320. Anybody recommend a good source for a quality radiator, maybe even made here in America?

If your leak is in the core someplace where you can remove some of the fin material, you can cut the water channel and by simply using needle-nose pliers, bend it back against itself at both ends. Did this to my jeep several years ago and still no leaks. I repaired my leaky tractor radiator by cleaning up around and heating up the hole and melting plumbing solder over the leak. That was several years ago and it also doesn't leak...JMHO...Ron

I got the same kind of estimates for a rebuild for my 850 radiator (around $350). Got a new one off this site for $200. Perfect fit, no problems.

I just had mine repaired at a local radiator shop. They took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, did a pressure check and painted it. Cost was $65.00. If the core and tanks aren't bad, it's worth the repair. Have it checked out before you spend the bucks on a new one.

My local Ford New Holland dealer had them for under $200.00 last time I needed one for my N. I have also bought them on E-bay and had no trouble

I'd try to repair it if it was in a place easy to get to.
