1970 3000....., It should have sweptback front axle,
dry shoe brakes, two stage clutch for PTO/ground drive...

Hi,
The ID for my Ford 3000 is on the inside of the right side hood.

Open the hood and look at the metal plate attached there.

I also have a serial number problem... I'm in contact with someone out of state who has an old Ford tractor. He initially said it was an 800 series but his last e-mail one sentence says 861 and the next a 661 diesel. He says the serial number is 509275 and thinks it's a '59 800 series tractor with approx 48 HP. I'm in the market for a used tractor that is ready to work and doesn't look too rough. I would hate to drive all the way up to SC and find out this isn't something I can use. Can anyone help me identify this by the number I was given? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Respectfully,
Michael
