I have been trying everything to start this tractor for about 2 months. It will turn over all day long but wont start. I tried bleeding the fuel lines but wasn"t getting any fuel to the injectors. I took the bleed screw out of the pump and when I turn the engine over fuel comes out. I then loosened the fuel lines leaving the pump and cant get fuel to squirt out from there. Talked to a mechanic and he said to take the cover off of the fuel pump and soak the guts in B-12. I did that and the same problem. I"ve been told that to get the fuel pump rebuilt and installed is about $1,000. I was also told not to try to do it myself because of timeing issues which I agree with. Before I go out and spend more money on this tractor, and the cost of the divorce it"s going to cost me, does anyone have any sugestions. Thank you very much for your help.

How much will the divorce cost you?

Start at fuel tank in reply to fordhlp, 04-05-2006 21:23:22
I would start with line coming from tank. Do what it takes to get fuel there. blow thru backwards to fuel tank (make sure valve is on) with low pressure air 20-30 psi. Then bleed fuel filter, then pump (no air pressure on fuel pump or filter though) and should be able to get engine to smoke white while cranking and that indicates it's getting fuel and then it should start. bjr
