The casing on the injector pump has frozen and busted over the winter. I am attempting to remove the injector pump and have it repaired. The fuel lines have been disconnected from the pump and all bolts removed, but it is still hanging on the mount plate on the front of the motor. What else do I need to do to free the injector pump. Thanks for your help.

You've got to take off the front cover and remove bolts that hold the pump to the gear that drives it. Make sure the engine is timed right before you remove the pump. There are marks on the gears that line up when the engine is at the right timing (21 deg btdc as I recall)

That's what I figured. Hard to imagine we've owned this one 30 years and never had the pump off of it. Thanks
