Bleed the pump. I would do this while cranking a diesel with the shutoff pulled out, or pull the coil wire on a gas engine. I wouldn't do it with the engine running. Just remove the plug on the side of the pump, crank until there's steady oil coming out, and reinstall the plug while cranking. Should be good to go.

Ultradog and Ricky both gave you the right answer. Check the archives and you'll find bunches of detailed instructions on priming the pump.

I believe you are suppose to check the hydrolic oil level with the lift arms in the full up position. You may have to help lift them up with the tractor running and then check your oil level again. Venting air from the pump is a good idea also...

Is yours a 3 or 4 cyl 2000?
-Might not matter in this case but in future cases I'd mention which-
My only thought is that you might have lost prime to the pump. There should be an allen plug on the side of your hyd pump. With the tractor idling and somewhere that a little oil wont make a mess loosen the plug just enough that it starts puking oil. Do it untill all the bubbles go away and you are getting a steady stream of oil. then tighten it back down and try your 3 point.
Let us know if that helps.
Jerry
