My '63 2000 gas is going to need a clutch soon.What other parts should I replace while the tractor is apart?This will be my first time splitting a tractor and I welcome any advice from you that have done it.Thank You

Thanks for the replies gentlemen.I wouldn't have thought of the transmission input seal and ring gear on my own.The safety tips are appreciated too,the safety issue may be what determines whether I do the job myself or let a professional do it.Either way the gear and seal will get replaced.Boley

Throwout bearing for one. Input shaft seal(4 bucks) next. Time to seriously consider the merits of a Sherman Combo(available from me--SHAMELESS plug). Remember, if it can't be done safe, do it different. Work safe. Falls not only break irrepairable castings, they break human bones REAL fast and easy.

Starter ring gear. I think it's about ten bucks, which will be a lot less than the sales tax on your double clutch.
