Bought some SAE 90 at a farm home place it says Ford hydraulic transmission sae 90 for use in final drives, hydraulic systems, and manual trans of Ford tractors mfg between 1939 and 1952. It also says API GL-1 heres the thing it looks like moter oil thin for 90 wt just wonder if I should run it or just go get some regular old EP 90 gear oil ? And whats best in the hyd ?

You need EP90 for a 900 series in the tranny and rear end. GL1 is straight mineral oil for the 9N through 8N series.

If it says EP-90W and GL-1 it should be fine for anything on your 961 except the hydraulics and engine. Don't forget the front pedestal.

Use CNH 135D or equivalent in the hydraulic system
