I'm just curious what you found out. I might repeat that my book said to loosen the nut and turn the screw "IN". Have you had a chance to try it out yet. Thanks, B. Jones

Havn't had a chance to try again. I will Sun. morning again. I have the service manual for the 600 to 901 , 1955 to 1960. It says to turn in to increase idle speed, out to reduce speed. The high speed decreases if turned in. I think there are various pumps, cause some have high speed on the pump lever. Book says allen wrench, but is not allen wrench, is 9/32 I think. If the adjusment works, I think it would be instantly apearant which way. Other thing I want to check is to make sure the fuel return is not blocked. If this is one of the things that happen when a pump goes bad, I would think that some one here might have seen it befor. Kennyp
