I have a 1969 4000 model 3 cyl. desil. How much oil does it take to fill the engine up to full. My dip stick is messed up and I need to calibraite it.

The original owner's manual that came with my '70 4000 lists 8 qts for the crankcase capacity.

Correct about the oil volume Rick but it's same block, different sump depending on the front axle type but now I'm just getting picky, please forgive me.
