I need to remove the pto shaft on my 640 for maintance. If I take the bolts out around the pto shaft and then pull on it, will it just slip out? Or do I need to do some other steps for removal. Thanks Ben

Engage the PTO shifter before pulling the shaft out. Otherwise, the sliding collar will fall out of place.

It will slip out but you will drain the rear end.

You'll also drain the hydraulic reservoir. If your fluids are good, drain diffy and hydraulic reservoir before you pull the pto and reuse the fluids. Could be a problem if you've got 134 in the hydraulics and 80W-90 in the diffy.
