What is the wiring diagram for the Ford 4000 push button start? It is a single wire system. This is for a friend. He says it is between a 60 - 64 model.

This wiring is for the stock 6v system used on pre 65 2000/4000 and 601/801 tractors.

Make sure you have a tractor starter relay as the car relay will not work.

Yes, single wire. It is a normally open switch and when closed, allows an electrical path to ground. Be sure you get the correct relay, it's not the same as a ford car starter relay -- has to be for a tractor.
