I have a 1600 four wheel drive tractor. I want to add a front loader. What do I need to do to add the hydraulic hose interface to my tractor? Currently it has a Hydraulic lift sytstem for the three point hitch but it doesn't have a place for hydraulic hoses to connect in.

I would appreciate your thoughts as to if and what parts I may need to add.

Thom, The factory method is to install a tapping block on top the three point hitch control valve. There's a cover plate held on with three capscrews. You put a tapping block under this plate with longer capscrewss. It has a pressure and return port. Ford or New Holland part number is SML22904. The bad news is that it's over $200.00. You could also cut into the pump to three point pressure line and hook up a loader control valve in series. The loader valve would have to have it's own relief valve. The correct way to do this would be to use a loader control valve with a pressure beyond port: a valve with one inlet and two outlets - one outlet is a return to reservoir, the other outlet is a pressure beyond for connection to downstream loads such as the three point hitch.
