I have 24" tire on this tractor and have them set to the narrowest 60" outside to outside. The fenders won't go back on. I guess from on the spot engineering I'll have to space inside 4-1/2" and up 1-1/2" for clearance of the tread. Has anyone worked on the narrow tread setting of getting the fenders to fit? Oh yeah the old scripted clamshell fenders. bjr

BJ:

The 4 cylinder 4000 LCG did not use the clamshell fenders but rather the later style, more flat fenders as used on the contemporay 4000 AG versions. The LCG versions had shorter brackets like those on the row crop versions. This is probably contributing to your fender tire interference problem.

You could install a set of wheel spacers like those used on the row crop and utility tractors with power adjust rims to space the wheels out away from the fenders but it would probably be easier to just set your rims out a couple of inches.
