Looking for a set of smaller segmented wheel weights for my 801. I just put new rear tires and had the rims sand blasted and painted because of the fluid. Won't do that again to my antique 4 wheeler. But the pup needs more weight to pull my pasture sprayer etc. Can't seem to find any of those smaller segmented wheel weights discussed in the owners manual. Any ideas? Al

AL - Where are you located? In the past month I've bought two sets of rear pie weights and two sets of front rim weights in NY for my own tractors. Still know of a third set of rear pie weights like Dans picture of the lighter verity that don't stick out the rim so far. Shipping would kill ya but they (weights) seem to be available in the East.

Where in NY? I am in upstate, and I would be delighted to get the calcium out of my wheels if I could...

Al, keep looking. I got lucky and found these in a salvage yard.I had to go to another salvage yard to find the special stud adapters to mount the mounting flange to the wheel. Everything was very rusty when found. I ran them through the water bath derrusting process, then primered and painted. I just mounted them last week, and am very happy with the result. I understand that you can buy new reproduction weights, but I'm not sure if that includes the smaller size weights. Dan Robertson

Great looking tractor! I think that series was the prettiest of them all. I am hoping to find the smaller set. I plan on restoring my pup later when I get time. I am on it every day.....You are the first I have heard talk to about reproduction weights. I'll keep looking..

Guys, they made two sizes of the segmented weights,30lb. per segment and also a 45lb. per segment. What I have mounted on the spin out wheel is the smaller 30lb per segment, plus 34lb. for the cast mounting hub, plus 6lb. of mounting bolts and hardware for a total of 400lb. per wheel. You can still adjust the wheel width with these in place. The 45lb. segments will not fit the spin out wheels. If you go for the reproduction weights you need to make sure of what size you are wanting and what you are ordering. Dan Robertson

Dan it just may be there are three styles. I have a set of the 30 lbs segments that don't have the cast clearance for the power adj. bolts like on your rims. That would make two styles of light weights. I've also a set of the 45 lbs segments that are larger in diameter so that one segiment has clearance for the valve stem. If the 45's were possibaly also cast with a clearance step like yours then there could be four styles thus further enforcing your caution to be sure what your ordering or going to pick up! AB

I have a set of 40 pounders I assumed were for PA wheels or 24 inch rims. These are narrower at the crust, but made in a deeper pan. 45 pounders were made with square cut outs for valve stem and half circle cut outs. I have two sets of 45 pounders and the mounting discs one one set are twice as thick and heavy as the other. Some have stamped part numbers on the back some have cast numbers. That makes leventeen different styles right?

Dan, A little bit off the subject of wheel weights, but I was looking through your photo album, and wondered if you could give me more information on the hydraulics under the front seat of your 801 pictured in Photo 11. Those are your hydraulics to control your front blade, but our '58 861 Powermaster doesn't have those or the 1-2 levers? Was that a special option from the factory or did you add that after you'd had the tractor?

JZ, That is the dual remote valve from Ford. An option just like PS, or spin out rear wheels, or the rear weights would have been. I can only assume that this tractor came equipped with this option when new. I have just owned it a little over a year. My 21315 Ford has the single remote valve installed in the same location. It too was an option. Dan Robertson
