I am looking for a ford 900 diesel and s.o.s. to purchase. My Grandfather had one and I miss it. Any condition is fine I wil fix it up myself preferably but I wil seriously look at one if it's restored already. Ben B.

Ben,

We have a 901 diesel with the SOS. Engine turns over but I can't get it to fire up. We're in the FL panhandle. I haven't thought about selling this one but the hurricanes have dealt us some serious blows. If you're interested in the tractor, let me know.

Ken,

Where are you located? I am in the Pensacola, Florida area. My dad and his tractors are in extreme Northwest Florida not far from Atmore, AL.

Larry is right - the selecto's weren't available until the x01's came out. Likewise the diesel engines. I don't know where you are (I'm in northern WI), or if you'd be interested in a gas 901, but a guy I know just bought a 5000, and has his 901 for sale. It's a 971 (selecto, single speed pto) with a factory wide front and power steering. Not real pretty, but low hours on a trans rebuild and the motor was rebuilt just before he bought it from me in '95 or '96. Send me an email if you'd be interested in this gasser, and I'll let him know. -Mark

FYI 900s were not available w/SOS. What you're looking for (I think) is a 901. There have been some on eBay at times.
