I have a Ford 4000 with a spindle stuck in the steering. I've heated the housing, oiled it well and beat on it with a very large hammer. Any suggestions on getting this thing out? It does not turn. My guess is the bottom bearing is rusted on. Other than a new part. Could something be bent? It doesn't appear to be.

They can be tough alright.
You need time to soak them so that the penetrating oil can really do its stuff. I overhaul a lot of factory equipment from a very wet and corrosive enviroment and I have found that CRC is really good stuff, but it needs 4 days to work. I'll spray a bearing on a shaft everytime I walk past it for 4 days and the bearing, which I know from experience would be impossible to shift at first, will move OK after that time.
This is not a CRC plug, I'm sure other product would work, even soaking it in diesel or kero, its the time that has the most effect.
Good luck Dicko
