My neighbor has a 3pt Kelley backhoe that he is trying to sell. He bought it new and has used it on his Ford 3600 for several years. The paint is faded w/some surface rust. There are no breaks or welds. Everything works good. The hoe looks to be about 12" wide. It looks to be set up for category 1 or 2 tractors. It runs off of it's own pto driven hydraulic pump. He is only getting a little interest at $2000 ($3500 new in the early 1980s) here in southern Indiana. Has anyone seen a similar unit for sale? He didn't have any trouble selling out his other equipment and basically only has this and his 3bottom 101 plow left. Thanks for your input.

I am not sure if I am talking about the same thing but it looks like it. This backhoe will be auctioned off at the Buffalo Crossing Ranch in Shelbyville, Ky. on Nov. 11 and 12 (going out of business). It is a 2 day auction. I don't know the details about this thing but give them a call...502-647-0377. It has a small bucket on it and and seems to be in outstanding condition..yellow in color...original paint. Hope this helps someone that might be interested. Shelbyville is between Louisville and Lexington off of I 64.

$2000 for one with a bigger bucket, no pto pump - runs off the tractor lines. Similar condition. Digs to 8 feet or so deep.

Saw a 2nd one sell for about the same, so that is going rate.

Sold one for a friend a few years ago and he got $750 out of it. Used they tend to sell cheaper then you would think they should

Wow. 3pt backhoes must be cheaper in your neck of the woods... just over 700.

I bought my beat up one for just under 1K and that was a sealed bit auction! And it had been converted over to run off the tractor (no pump). I had to fix a few cracks and convert to use it on a closed center system. I think mine is a B20 Kelley....a small one. The stabilizers doin't fold out like a nomral one...they slide up into a tube.

If it's the same as mine, I would hazard 2K is a bit high. If it's a bigger one....2K would sell fairly fast here...since new 3pt backhoes run 4K+.
