I have a 3600 with a front end loader. I have a backhoe with three point hook up I just installed.
I installed quick disconects in pressure and return lines to run the loader in front of the loader control valve.
The pump will not run the loader or backhoe at the same time.
The question I have is do I have to install a shut off valve in the pressure line just before the loader control valve to use the remote hyds.

Bill - You are using in internal hydraulic pump via two remote spools attached to quick connects??

I am not expert but it seems to be the proper way to accomplish your goal - loader and backhoe to work without moving connections, you would use the Power Beyond from your loader control value to your backhoe control valve.

Either I don't understand your connections or something - I don't see what you are trying to accomplish by having a shut off valve on the pressure line??

Maybe restate your situation to help me. Do you use internal pump?? I assume you have a separate control for your backhoe?? Are you trying to use the loader control valve for the backhoe??

Just too many unknowns for an amateur like myself.

The loader and the backhoe each have controls.
I had to tee into the pressure line ahead of the loader control to feed the backhoe control.
both controls have pressure relief dump valves.
When both are hooked up none of them work. I added a shut off valve just ahead of the loader control and when I close this valve the backhoe works, and when I disconnect the backhoe pressure line and turn the valve on the loader works.
I assume that if the dump valves were in series in the pressure line I wouldn't need the valve but when the are in parallel I need it.
Thanks for the reply.
Bill
