Does anybody know where I could get some info on the Hydraulics pump for 4500 backhoe. It is staring to get tired and is sucking air. It sure makes a lot of noise and there is air in the oil. I would like to overhaul it. Need to know what "O" rings it needs or glands.
Maybe there is a repair kit for it. The number on the pump is 297559. Just got done with rebuilding the swing cylinders for a $160. Any help would be appreciated.

Contact your local New Holland Dealer. I was able to get a seal kit for my 3500 which has a Cessna pump for around $50. It was not New Holland brand . If your dealer can't match that, call Kim at Bingham Ford in Mesa,AZ. He can ship it to you. 1-800-786-4885 x4012

Soory I can't help you, but maybe you can help me. I just looked at a 4500 with backhoe and loader. The guy wanted $8000.00. I would say the tires were worn but everything else looked good. Is this a fair price or way out of line?

Thanks for any help!

Dave this seems a little high, depending on the year tho,I think that the average is around 7 thousand.
Mine has been a real workhorse, I bought mine around 1985.
