I was winterizing my 1841 Ford and it looks like the bottom tank is all stove in. I don't know if someone made the wrong radiator fit my tractor by taking a hammer to it or if the hydrauliuc pump driveshaft came loose some time in the past and beat it to death. Anyway, called YT and they don't have a rad for this beast. Any know where to get a good one?

It isn't leaking...yet.

If it don't run hot or leak then you don't need a radiator.
When you do need one find a real radiator shop. There is one in most every town. A feller who knows his business can pound out the big lumps and put er back together with a new core.

PS: Any body know why radiator shops look so awfully bad?

Ugly Radiator Shops in reply to jmixigo, 11-01-2006 17:27:04
Know what you mean about ugly radiator shops. I guess it's the chemical in their boiling vat that gets on everything.

Another question- Have you ever seen a radiator shop that DIDN'T use some version of the slogan "The best place in town to take a leak"?
