Hello everyone. I was hoping that there is someone on this forum that can help me. My uncle is rebuilding my grandfathers old Ford tractor. He called me and said that he was having trouble finding rear fenders to fit it. He said that according to someone at a parts place, it is a 1964 Ford Dexta. Is there such a tractor? And also the guy told him that the rear fenders off a Jubilee (Model I don't know) would fit it. Is this true? And finally, where can I find rear fenders to fit it? Thank you very much for your help.

Hello again. I've just talked to my uncle and tried to get the serial number. The tractor is in another location, so he'll have to get it later. That's the problem, he's in Winchester, TN and I'm in Alabama. He said that it was a Super Dexta, made around 1964. He also said it was made in England, and that we need a steering wheel also. Any ideas? Thanks

hi Jay,
Dextas and Super Dextas are Fordsons, not Fords. Jubilee fenders may bolt on, but they look completely different. New fenders for the Dexta/Super Dexta are available from Mike's Tractors: Go to the 'On-Line Store' in the left column, then 'parts', then 'Ford' and scroll down to 'sheet metal'. Mike's may have the steering wheel, also. To get a look at he tractor, go to 'Tractor Photos' in the left column, then enter Dexta in the 'Search for' box. The photo labeled "1967" is wrong. Dextas were made from 1957 to 1964, and Super Dextas were made from 1962 to 1964. Different sources give different production years, but there seems to be a consensus that Super Dextas were '62 to '64.

The serial number is on the left side, stamped
vertically on the front transmission flange where it bolts to the engine--very hard to read. It's possible to decipher the year of production from the serial number, but after a couple of tries, I'm still completely bewildered. It works to get parts, though.

You should get better information at the Fordson Forum--click on 'Another Discussion Forum' at the top of the main page.

There's also good information at Oscar's.
