This is my first post in a long time.

Anyway I have a 755 and just found a light skimming of oil in my radiator. No water in the oil.

The tractor is a 755 diesel 4 cyl. Any ideas

Does the radiator have a oil cooler in it if it does that is probally the problem i have 10 7610 New Hollands and that is a pretty common thing even on the older 56 & 6610

My first thought would be a leaking head gasket. I would hope that it is a leaking head gasket. If it's not, then you're probably looking at a cracked block that is allowing oil from an oil gallery into the water jacket. Hope for a bad head gasket.... Check the oil passage that feeds the head, slightly left and forward of #1 cylinder. Are you absolutely sure that this is oil you're seeing and not a sheen of carbon from combustion gases entering the cooling system? Again, bad head gasket. BTW, when you have the head off, have it checked for flatness. If you don't have a precision straight edge, take the head to a head shop and have them check it for you. Good luck....
