5900 remote hydraulics

I have a 5900 with two remote outlets. Great tractor but I need at least an extra pair of outlets so I don't have to disconnect my loader everytime I hook up to something else!
Being an "oddball" model, most dealers tell me I don't have a 5900 because Ford didn't make one - let alone tell me how to hook up another set or a multiplier.
Anybody out there know how/where I need to tap in to to add some remotes?
Thanks,

This is the view under the seat. The front hose goes to the port labeled "in" on the joystick. The rear most hose goes to the port labeled "BYD" on the joystick.

That block where the hoses come out is what I need to make it work. I'll have to check mine but I only have two hoses going to the joystick. Did you add that block?
Thanks,
Keenan

No, This was setup when I got the tractor. But, the guy that had the loader put on had it done by the local New Holland dealer, so I"m sure that it was done with stock NH/Ford parts. Good luck. Hope it all goes well for you.

Thanks. Now that I have a picture maybe I can convince them that there IS a part that will work for what I want to do!

This is my first try at posting with a pic, hope it works! The hose coming off the joystick labeled "out" goes to this point on the tractor. I have to remove this hose to add fluid.

I have a 5900 with loader and seperate remote. I never really paid any attention to how it's plumbed, but if you would like I will try to get some pics of it tomorrow. Know what you mean about the 5900 being an oddball. Made for Mexico, there not much support around for it.

Ron,
Pictures would be great if not too much trouble. Whole lot easier for me if I can "see" what I'm doing. The valve body is very small and theres still plenty of room under the seat for modifications.
You like your tractor? How many hours and what kind of loader?
Thanks,
Keenan

Couldn't make it over to get the pics today, but I will within the next day or two. I do like the tractor. It's my main baling tractor. I pull a NH 640 round baler with it. Got about 1100 hours on it. Still running strong. The loader is a Farm Hand. The only thing I wish I had for it is a year round cab. But I've got a feeling that it would be pretty hard to find.

You need to see if your hyd.system has a "power beyond" port which you would tap and feed your loader valve with leaving remotes freed up . If no one here can help, you need to get ahold of a shop manual . I remember the 5900 but am not familiar enough . I'm not sure if the hyd valves are the same as on a 5600, that might be something to look into.

You can buy a unit that sits under your existing valves that will divert flow from your pump to a loader valve. It will allow you to run the loader off the loader valve and still use the remotes. I have one for my 4610 but I haven't installed it yet. Realize that unless you have a really big pump, trying to run every thing at once won't be possible.

While I have a good understanding of most things mechanical, hydraulics are still a mystery to me.
The loader valve sounds like what I was thinking of. So I could have my loader "permanantly" hooked up and still use my remotes. I don't want or need to have everything operating at once but the option to ocassionally.
So this unit is sandwiched in between? Where did you get yours and whats the cost? I was loking at the unit under the seat and figured there must be a way to hardwire my joystick into there and free up my remotes.
Thanks,

As JD said, you can get the kit form CNH and it bolts underneath the remote valve set that sits under the seat. I bought mine from NH for like $160. I'm trying to finish my shop so I can install the thing. It doesn't look complicated but as JD says, I'll need to change some hoses.

There is a block made out of aluminium that fits between the top of the lift cover and your existing valves. You can buy it at the New Holland dealer or thru any Tisco parts handlers. It is a kit with longer bolts and o-rings. I understand that you have a valve for your loader plugged into the existing valves on your tractor. To attach the loader valve to the new block will require some fitting on your hoses that go to the loader. I do not know the size, but a place that fabricates hyd. hoses can help you. The block you are adding will have inlet and outlet stamped on it. Attach hoses to the correct ports and you are good to go.

You have to change out the remote control valve, an easy job, may have to drill some new holes in the mounting bracket if it's a different manufacturer. Northern Hydraulics has them for $185.00 as aposed to NH's $456.00 that is of course if yours has the open centered system which it should instead of the deluxe remotes.

I guess I"m not up on the names of the parts because I"m not sure what diverters and remote control valves are exactly. Are you all talking about the thing that some will bolt to the fender with the levers for actuating the hydraulics? I don"t have one and was trying to avoid that if possible but didn"t know if that it was feasible to direct connect the loader joystick and free up the remotes with what I already had.
I guess a good schematic of the hydraulic system would help me out. Anybody have a link?
Thanks

What about a diverter block at each pair of remotes.. kinda like an a/b setup.. manual activation.. etc.
