I just ran across an online ad for a 851-D or 861-D for $2500. It's about 120 miles from me. The photo shows a diesel engine, 5 speed trans and power steering. The headlight location seems to indicate it used to have a loader.

I have no interest in the tractor and I don't know the seller. If any of you decide to buy it, I could go pick it up and keep it at my house until you can come fetch it if that helps.

If it runs.... That is a smoke'in deal! Wish I had the time to go get it. The p.s unit is worth $500.00 alone.

 Is a battery included for $2500? in reply to Jim.UT, 12-12-2006 09:57:55
That would be a good price if it runs good as advertised.

That is a good price.

Is it a 801 or 800? The air box looks like the one used on the older tractors. Anybody know for sure?

If it's a diesel engine (and that's what it looks like to me) then it has to be an 801. The diesel engine was not offered on the 800. Also, if you click on the photograph, it will enlarge so you can see the 801 grille more clearly. It's painted gray so it doesn't show up well in the small photo.

Dang that's a good price. in my area.. beater 6xx go for 2000-2500, and 8xx-2000 start at 3500.. and those are gas jobs...

Must be nice to live around an area that has decent tractors for sale...
