Anthony The 3400 Is the industrial version of the 3000 ag tractor.
heavy front axle for loader work.
the front axle on the 3400 would be arched
non adjustable with a steering cylinder on each side like the 3000 ,3000 steering cylinder had a 1/2 inch shaft 3400 used a steering cylinder with 5/8 shaft. 3400 had more transmisson options.
the 3000 was replaced by the 3600..
industrial version of the 3600 was the 335.

Correct!
3400 also had cast iron oil pan and 3000 just the regular tin one.

you have a 3500... with the extra extra heavy duty front axle and front grill.. this model was usually used for backhoes and frontend loaders.. it could be equipped with many different transmissions and often did not have a pto or 3 pt lift due to other applications...

it can however have the standard 8 speed trans and pto and 3 pt lift makeing it a very very heavy duty farm tractor..... . and these are excellent for mounting front end loaders on becuase you cannot damage the front axles with the extra weight...

later these models were called the 335s..

I can't help you with the tractor ID but I can with the manual. Spring for the hundred bucks or so and get the three volume offical Ford manual. Well worth the price on your first repair. You can buy it from this site or New Holland.
