New to me 841-D serial # 144186 the thing is it has a gas engine 172 does the D mean it was once a diesel ? Just put my blade on and the lift is slightly jerky but lifts fine 6 ft service blade that is heavyer than most, where do you bleed it at the plug on the pump ? Bought this tractor from a real nice guy on the photo ads this site its everything he said and better. Any info much appreciated

The "-D" does indicate diesel. Since the model and serial numbers are stamped in the transmission housing either your tractor was originally a diesel and the engine has been swapped or the original transmission has been replaced with one from a diesel powered tractor.

The plug used to bleed the hydraulic pump is located at the forward end of the pump. The plug in my pump has a recessed receptacle for an Allen wrench but yours may have a protruding square or hex for a wrench.
