I am looking for a front loader for my tractor. (Ford 651)
What brand of loaders will fit this tractor?
Does any one have any recommendations?

Ford made several loaders that fit that tractor. I have a Ford 720 loader on my 861 (basically same size tractor as the 600 series w/larger engine), and I think the Ford 730 loader fits them as well. These are good heavy units. The 600/800 tractors are not the best loader tractors, though. If you don't have power steering, you will build up some powerfull arms. Also, the front end of these tractors (axle, spindles) are a bit on the light side. The loader can easily put on a load that could bend these parts, so be careful. I ended up putting on wider front tires (used truck tires) in order to keep the front end from sinking too deep in the mud. You also will need some weight in the rear. I have filled tires w/chains and I usually hook up my bush-hog when I use the loader just to keep some weight on the rear tires. I am thinking about either getting some pie weights or making a weight box (about 1000#) for the back. Good Luck.

Per, I have a Waggoner loader on a 650 tractor. It is a step thru either side, with two hyd cyl to lift and two for the dump. It is a older unit but very well built, would handle more than the tractor would. The tank for the hyd fluid is in the frame, good idea..... ..Van
