A repair for a cracked fuel bowl is a crap shoot. Might work, most likely won't. Look around for a used one or get a rebuilt one. They're around a $100. Don't understand how anybody could crack one. They look stout enough to use as a jacking point on the tractor!

The most common way they crack is when they get water in the carb, and it freezes. Does QUITE a number on the float, too!

Have you looked on ebay? I've seen Marvel-Schebler's there for on the order of $100. This site has a rebuilt carb for an NAA for $143 + core and a new one for about $190.

JB Weld is 100% gas proof once cured. I called them up directly for this question as I used it to patch the fuel tank on my 52 8N. Worked fine for the year I owned it and I worked it hard.

I'd solder it before i brazed it.

heck.. clean it with carb cleaner and jb weld it. once cured, jb weld is gas proof.
Best bet is to just get a new carb... and keep that one as a spair.

I've seen more then one that was brazed up, but on about 75% of them it warped the carb enough to cause a lot of other problems. I've seen where they wouldn't bolt back togeather correctly and or the float would hang up. I'd check with some place like valuebilt and buy a rebuilt one from them or keep you eyes open for one. I might even have what you need but I would have to do some checking to be sure. Most M/S carbs are the same and theres only 3 or 4 bowl sizes on them its just the jets that are differant
