Farmtrac--do these use Ford components?

I have looked at brochures from the Farmtrac Company, based in North Carolina. The look of these tractors is very close to that of Fords from the 70's and 80's; also the engine displacement of some models is the same as the old three-cylinder models of Ford. Does anyone have experience with these tractors? The price is quite agreeable, but there seems to be only one dealer in my state (Minnesota).

We have a farmtrac 60.
We bought ours in 99 it has i think about 800 hrs on it now. It has been quite good to us other than a few minor bugs that needed to be worked out, the worst thing i can say about it is that the brakes could be improved on, if they arnt exactly calibrated they are very weak and spongy, and when used going backwards are even worse. Other than that it is a very good quality machine. Made by LONG Escorts Agribusiness, in the Torobourough NC plant bought from FORD. They are Very much like the Ford 3930, infact the engine block casting is stamped NH. Many parts can be ordered at Nh using 3930 parts. The only difference we can find from the Farmtac to the Ford is the brake design (farmtrac has mech disc, ford drum) and location of the hydro filter. Infact many of the parts appear to have ford paint under them. Oh and it cost abot 5K less.

If you think Ford had a plant in Tarborough, NC and a Ford 3930 has drum brakes, I wonder about all the rest of your post.

Interesting. Yes, the price of these is quite attractive. It seems to me that the price of the current smallest model, the 435, is listed at about $10,700, which is about 30 HP.

To expand on this, did Farmtrac buy the leftover components from Ford, or did they replicate the sheet metal, etc? I find it interesting that they resemble so closely the Ford tractors of the 70's and 80's. If anyone has experiences with these tractors, particularly the 435 and 535 models, I'd like to hear what they think of them. As I stated earlier, the price is attractive compared to the big manufacturers offerings in this category.
