I have a Ford that's about all I know, it has the nerrow front, stands up taller than the regular ones, has the red down the hood, red dash, the red front that has the bars across and 1 in the center. The ser# is 56325, and just above is # 141, the # on the block is 310609, casting # I guess, on the rear ens casting # is 312478. Oh it has power stering, live lift. The 3 point doesn't go down either, I put weight on 3 point that didn't help, pulled the plate off the side and looked at linkage, it all was moving, it run's real nice, it is a gas burner, Any help would be great, I usually work on IH & JD. Thanks again

That from what you said could be one of 2 the 141 you see the first number could be either a 7 makeing it a 741 or it could be a 9 makeing it a 941. I should have a 4 speed if it is a ?41.

From the description of the hood, you have a 172CI engine. Why does the lift not go down? Most want to know why won't it get up. I would guess that the control valve is stuck. With both side covers removed and the aid of a small mirrow, locate a small turnbuckle like linkage and at the front of this linkage will be the control valve. With your hand, assist moving this valve. Keep in mind,a lot of hyd work is feel instead of site. This valve will be located up on the cyl near the bottom.
