I know of a Ford 950 (tricycle without live power), supposedly a 1955, with power steering, with a sale price of $3750, at a NH dealer. Good overall operating condition and appearance, tires about 50%, and a remote valve. Is this about right for such a unit, or should the lack of live power make the price somewhat high? Any thoughts/advice appreciated. Location----southern Minnesota.

Sounds high to me, with the narrow front and non-live pto. Around here, (n.w. WI) I'd guess it to bring somewhere around $2000-2500. There's one at Bar-H Implement in Stone Lake for (I think) $3000, and its been there a while. Might even be a 960. I bought a 950 w/ a home-made wide front in need of electrical and cosmetic work for $1500, delivered from Indiana, a couple years ago. Had about $2200 in it when I was done, and it brought $2700 when I sold it last summer. They ARE good tractors, and can do more than you'd expect from 45h.p., but tend to be valued less than 800's or even 600's.

I paid 3500 for an 850 and no valve, and no ps. I had to pay 600$ for a valve.

Yours sounds like a peach to me.

Thanks for the responses. 900's are getting hard to find around here, so my options are somewhat limited....I plan on test driving the tractor tomorrow, and if it is ok, making an offer on it.

You really like those narrow front Fords, don't you? Did you see that 5200 in MI on ebay that ended yesterday for 1 bid at $2600? Had been considering that one myself, but decided to pay off some debt first and then look for a 5610 with fwa and a cab.
